Terms of trade, and who we are
Two pages of this in plain words, because the version nobody reads is the version that catches somebody out at eleven at night.

We are not registered for work on the gas side of a boiler, and we do not hold a licence for sewage treatment plants. Both are on the list of what we do not do, and both stay off the van.
Invoicing and payment
When
On completion for domestic work, by card at the door or by transfer within seven days. Fourteen days for landlords and letting agents, on account. We do not take a deposit for a call-out and we will not ask for one on the phone.
What is on it
The hour band, the half hours, every part at trade price with the fifteen per cent shown separately, and the fall we laid any new length at. The liability certificate goes out with it.
Disputes
Ring the number and say so. If we cannot agree, you owe the parts and the call-out while it is settled, not the whole invoice.
Guarantee
- Labour, twelve months from the date on the invoice
- Parts we supplied, to the manufacturer's own term, which is on the invoice
- Re-laid drainage, two years, including the fall it was laid at
- Clearing a blockage is not a guarantee against it blocking again — if it blocks twice inside a year we survey it and take the survey off the bill
- Nothing is guaranteed where you have asked us to work around a defect we wrote down and you declined to have fixed
What we hold about you
The name, address and telephone number you give on the call, what was wrong, and what we did about it. It is kept for six years because HMRC requires it of the invoice, and it is kept on paper job sheets and one accounts machine at Unit 6.
We do not sell it, we do not send marketing, and there is no mailing list to be on. Photographs of work go on this site only where the customer has said yes in writing, and never with an address, a door or a number plate in them.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is nothing to consent to, which is why there is no banner asking you.
