Terms of business

These terms apply to every job Crowder Plumbing & Drainage carries out for a domestic customer. Landlord and commercial accounts have a separate agreement.
Prices and quotes
Our published fixed prices include VAT, labour and the parts listed. A written quote stands for 90 days. If a job turns out to be larger than quoted, we stop and agree the extra before continuing; we never add work without your agreement.
Bookings and cancellations
Online bookings are requests until we confirm them by text. You can cancel or move a booked visit free of charge until 18:00 the working day before. After that, or if nobody is in when we arrive in the agreed window, we may charge £45.
Emergency call-outs
We tell you the rate on the phone before the van leaves. If you cancel after the van has left, we charge half the first-hour rate.
Payment
Payment is due on completion, by card or by bank transfer within 7 days. Bathroom and boiler installations need a 20% deposit to book the dates, with the balance on completion.
Guarantee
Our labour and every part we supply are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of the job. If something we fitted fails in that time, we come back and put it right at no charge. The guarantee does not cover parts you supplied, damage by others, or frost damage to pipes you asked us not to lag. New boilers also carry the manufacturer's warranty on its own terms.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to cancel a contract made away from our premises within 14 days, unless you have asked us to start work within that period.
