How we do it
A leak does not wait for a convenient slot, so neither do we. The phone is answered around the clock by whichever of our engineers is on call — not a call centre — and the van leaves while you are still on the line.
The first job is always to stop the water. We isolate the supply, find the failure and make it safe, then tell you plainly what the repair is and what it costs. The price is agreed before we pick up a tool, and it is written on the job sheet you sign.
Most emergency repairs are finished on the first visit. Each van carries copper, plastic and press fittings in 15, 22 and 28 mm, stopcocks, cistern valves, tap cartridges and a freeze kit, so a stopcock that will not turn is not the end of the night.
If water has come through a ceiling, we check the floor and ceiling below with a moisture meter and photograph what we find. That report goes to you the same day and is usually all an insurer needs.
Questions about emergency plumbing
Do you charge more at night?
Yes. The first hour is £145 between 18:00 and 08:00 and at weekends, against £95 in the working day. We tell you which rate applies before the van leaves.
What if you cannot fix it on the first visit?
We make it safe, order the part and come back at no extra labour charge. You pay the first hour only.
Can you help with my insurance claim?
Every emergency job comes with dated photos and a short written cause-of-damage report, free. Most insurers accept it as it is.
